Umberto graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts with Distinction, with a double major in History and Sociology. He attended Osgoode Hall Law School, completing his Juris Doctor in 2017, and began articling with Davidson Fraese in May 2017.
During law school Umberto gained significant family law experience by volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada’s Family Law Project, where he assisted unrepresented litigants through their family law disputes. During his final year at Osgoode, Umberto continued working with Pro Bono Students Canada as the Ontario Family Law Project Coordinator, which involved overseeing the operation of the Family Law Project throughout Ontario, while continuing to assist unrepresented litigants. Umberto gained additional family law experience, as well as written and oral advocacy skills, while participating in the Walsh Family Law Moot during both his second and third years at Osgoode. Osgoode’s teams placed second overall both years and won a best factum award in 2017.
Outside of the office Umberto can be found listening to music (particularly Iron Maiden), powerlifting in the gym, hiking, or hanging out with friends.
